To help make a whole new rabāba, a tumbura devotee usually takes two wooden bowls (of proper form and product), applies incense to them, and sacrifices pigeons. The bowls would be buried for 40 days, and visitors would appear and snooze on the bottom in the vicinity of exactly where they had been buried. The new rabābas (constructed from the buri
